Voltage Regulator General Troubleshooting

Common malfunctions

fault phenomenon

cause of issue

Maintenance method

1. The voltage regulator has no output

input voltage is normal , the meter does not light up , and there is no output

1. The air switch is open (no power)

Replace the air switch

2. The switching power supply board does not work (no DC12V output)

Replace the switching power supply and check whether there is a short circuit in the 12V current

3. Input and output relays do not pull in

Check if the control board is working , or if the relay itself is a problem

input voltage is normal , the meter head is on, and there is no output

error code

(E-1) No input sampling

Check whether the input sampling line is in poor contact

(E-2) No output sampling

Check whether the output sampling line is in poor contact

(E-5) Overload Protection

The load exceeds the rated load and can be recovered by restarting

(---) Overvoltage protection Overvoltage light flashes

Input voltage exceeds rated voltage

(---) Over temperature protection Over temperature bar full

temperature drop can be recovered

Display input voltage flashing

bad temperature sensor

2. The voltage stabilizer does not take the load

The voltage regulator is powered on normally , and the output voltage with load is low

1. The power terminals are in poor contact, or use aluminum wires (causing loose terminals)

Use copper wire for reliable wiring

2. The input power line is too thin (cannot meet the output load power)

Replace the corresponding power cord

3. Check whether the shift relay is damaged

Replace the relay

4. Transformer burned out

Transformer black , leakage

1. Over rated power to work with load

Check the transformer for damage

2. The cooling fan does not rotate

Replace the cooling fan

3. The working temperature is too high

Check the temperature sensor for damage

4. Poor circuit contact leads to burnout

Check the wiring for poor contact

5. The relay shift is incorrect

Check the control board for damage

3. The voltage regulator relay is damaged

Relays are not durable

1. Check whether the transformer is damaged

Replace the transformer

2. The relay models are different, and they often spark during use

Replace the same type of relay
